My name is Lyn and I’m the coffee drinking, chocolate eating special needs mum behind Crafted by Mummy and I’m based in Surrey, UK.
My passion for crafting was born following my decision to stay home to support my son. I am self employed and have been for the last 21 years. In normal circumstances, being self employed means that not being able to work can be a real disaster. My main business is different, meaning that I am able to put in on hold for the time being without jeopardising it in anyway!
I discovered planners and the planning community and have become obsessed with planning, washi, stickers and charms. This helps me to cope mentally with the strain of fighting to provide my son with the education and support that he deserves. This definitely keeps me occupied, organised and out of trouble but, unfortunately, it didn’t help with our financial situation. My parents raised me to be independent which means that I am not happy relying on my husband for money.
One day I had a go at making a chunky charm and my bead addiction was born! I love working with beads and wire and creating beautiful things.
This has all led up to me being able to open my own online shop Crafted by Mummy. This is like a dream come true and, as you will soon see, I continue in my passion for learning new skills. This means that I am now able to provide a much wider variety of items enabling me to help more mums!

? My pendants are all totally unique, one of a kind creations. This means that they help to show how individual you are. They act as an extension of your personality without actually having to say anything.
? My charms illustrate just how unique and amazing you actually are. This is so important in a world where it is all too easy to just blend in and disappear.
In order to stay strong for our little ones and our loved ones, we must remember to look after ourselves. Therefore, it is my hope that, through my creations, I can help mums to achieve this.
